10 killed as plane crashes in Russia

Ten people died and four were injured today in a plane crash on Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula.

The Antonov-28 crash-landed near the town of Palana, 4,200 miles east of Moscow.

The two-engine turboprob aircraft, on an internal flight, had 14 people on board including two children and two crew.

Airport officials said an engine malfunction was a possible cause of the crash.
