The 33-year-old musician, who split from the tech mogul in September 2021, explained to a Vanity Fair reporter they have a baby daughter after she was heard crying upstairs during an interview.
Already they are proud parents to a son called Æ A-1.
Grimes referred to her baby girl as Y before revealing her daughter’s full name was Exa Dark Sideræl Musk.
The couple’s daughter Exa was born in December 2021 via a surrogate just several months after the pair officially called it quits on their three-year relationship, according to Vanity Fair.
Musk and Grimes had reportedly decided to use a surrogate after she experienced complications in her first pregnancy.
While the couple parted ways last year, Grimes also revealed the proud parents see each other all the time as they co-parent.
Grimes - whose real name is Claire Boucher - lifted the lid on how the exes plan to have more kids together during the interview.
"We’ve always wanted at least three or four," she said in her interview.
She admitted she would even refer to Elon as her “boyfriend” and she clarified they are “fluid”.
“I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid,” she told the publication. “We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time…. We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”
Grimes said the pair are in the best place they’ve ever been and are happy with the current set-up they share.
The SpaceX mogul first went public with Grimes in May 2018 but the pair have kept a relatively low public profile surrounding their relationship.
The couple welcomed their first child together in May 2020 before confirming less than a year later they had “semi-separated” in September 2021.
Despite the split, Musk and Grimes have always maintained that they remained on good terms.
Musk also has five sons from a previous relationship with his ex-wife Justine Wilson. His son’s names are Griffin, Xavier, Damian, Saxon and Kai.
