This is the chilling moment a woman was attacked and killed by a tiger after she left her car in a Chinese wildlife park.

Horrifying CCTV footage shows how the woman was dragged off by the animal when she got out of her car and walked to the other side of the vehicle.

A second woman, who jumped out of the car to try and rescue her, was seriously injured when she was mauled by another tiger at Beijing Badaling Wildlife World.

The terrifying attack took place on Saturday.

Warning: contains graphic footage

Visitors to the wildlife park are allowed to driver through the 6,000 acre grounds but are told not to leave their vehicles at any point.

Chinese media claimed the woman was in a car with another woman, a man and a child. It was claimed an argument prompted the woman to leave the car before she was fatally attacked.

A man, who was also in the car and made attempts to help, was unhurt while the child remained in the car.

A Chinese government official confirmed the woman who survived was seriously injured and was receiving medical treatment.

Park officials declined to comment.
