Isis has taunted Donald Trump, saying the US is “being run by an idiot”.
The extremist group mocked the President in its first official statement since he came to office, claiming the Republican was ignorant.
In a recording released through messaging network Telegraph, Isis spokesman Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer said: "America you have drowned and there is no saviour.
“You have become prey for the soldiers of the caliphate in every part of the earth, you are bankrupt and the signs of your demise are evident to every eye."
It went on: “There is no more evidence than the fact that you are being run by an idiot who does not know what Syria or Iraq or Islam is.”
Mr Trump, who vowed to defeat the group during his campaign for office, recently ordered the US military to focus on Isis in Syria rather than leader Bashar al-Assad.
