Canadian university student unions were baffled after receiving a series of bizarre packages containing electronics including sex toys.
Anonymous packages were sent via Amazon to more than 10 student organisations across the country.
Some universities, including the University of Regina Students' Union and the student union at Lakehead University in Ontario, received more than 15 of the "strange" items.
While it was initially thought to be an elaborate hoax, police have since been called on to investigate, according to reports.
Thunder Bay, Ontario, RCMP Constable Darryl Waruk said the items were coming from distributors in China, according to the CBC.
Packages have included phone chargers, head phones, light bulbs and a number of sex toys.
"One was like a mint greenish multi-setting vibrator with like a rose gold end," Ryerson University student union vice president Camryn Harlick told campus paper The Eyeopener, which broke the story.
Amazon said it is investigating the parcels, the CBC reported, which it said "violates [their] policies".
The University of Manitoba Student Union donated a sex toy to an LGBTQ group to be given out as a free prize during an event.
President of the union Tanjit Nagra said: "I was thinking it was kind of strange that we got this package."
"But then once we saw there are students' unions across Canada are getting the same thing then we were like okay, there is something going on, right?"
