Taylor Swift blew her fans away with the release of a re-recorded version of her 2015 hit Wildest Dreams.

The songstress, 31, has been re-recording her old songs in a mission to reclaim her music amid a furious row with her old label.

On Friday, she treated her fans to the surprise after the original song went viral on TikTok.

She wrote on Twitter: “Hi! Saw you guys got Wildest Dreams trending on tiktok, thought you should have my version.”

Her legion of loyal fans flooded social media with their warm response to her recording.

Some music fans claimed to be left in tears over the new release in a series of emotional tweets.

Among the sea of comments, one wrote: “I’m currently crying in the toilets at work because this is my favourite song in the whole world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s incredible. I’ll never forget today.”

Others added: “Wait so the only reason you gave it to us is because it was trending ? Girl watch us trend every single song you’ve ever written.”

“Something about you owning ur heartbeats now makes me so happy.”

“No but the way i was expecting absolutely any song off of red TV to be released soon but you just suddenly drop a 1989 TV song ?????? what era are we even in I AM SCREAMING.”

Over the weekend, the singing superstar was in Belfast on a romantic break with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

The Red hitmaker left one fan starstruck when she watched the up-and-coming singer Tiernán Heffron’s three-hour gig at a local venue.
