A dog became an internet sensation when it chased a car down a road to photobomb a Google Maps street view picture.

Google's camera caught the moment the pup from the district of Kumage in Japan’s Kagoshima Prefecture spotted a street mapping car and gave chase.

According to the images, the excitable hound spotted the car when it was wandering by a nearby boat.

It then proceeded to chase the vehicle down the street with its tongue hanging out.
