A video clip of a reporter who shouted at a fellow journalist trying to push in front of her at the US presidential debate has gone viral.

Kimberley Halkett, who works for Al Jazeera English, turns around and yells, “thanks a lot b****” as a scrum of journalists jostle in the queue for an interview.

The outburst was recorded by another journalist, Dalton Bennett, who works for the Washington Post.

He published the clip online with the caption: “Scrum pleasantries. The show hasn’t even started but things are off to a great start.”

The crowd of journalists were waiting to score an interview with businessman Mark Cuban, who is known for his dislike of Donald Trump.

The video shows an aide of Mr Cuban saying: “Ma’am, stop pushing please” before Ms Halkett reacts angrily to the female reporter behind her.

The clip has been watched more than seven million times and sparked a hashtag.

Many people said the outburst was their favourite part of the presidential debate.
