A woman was found dead in a US supermarket toilet three days after she entered the store.
The body of Katherine Caraway, 29, was found on the floor of the Walmart toilet in Oklahoma on Monday afternoon.
She had last been seen entering the store three days previously on Friday, but had not been seen leaving.
Workers at the supermarket in Sand Springs had tried to get into the bathroom but found it was locked, so an “out of order” sign was put on the door, news website Tulsa World reported.
Finally on Monday, a Walmart worker unlocked the door to the bathroom and found Ms Caraway’s body.
According to police in Sand Springs, there were no obvious signs of foul play.
"There was nothing suspicious that indicated her cause of death at the scene," said Todd Enzbrenner from the police force. "So the medical examiner will have to determine it."
Ms Caraway, who was originally from Texas, had no connection to Sand Springs, police said.
Her family travelled from Texas to identify the body.
In a statement, supermarket giant Walmart said it was “saddened” by what happened.
“We don't know all the facts right now, but we are working closely with local law enforcement to provide what information we have that might be useful.”
Tributes were shared to Ms Caraway on Facebook, including from Bekah Rae Pope who said Katherine was her sister and will be “forever in my heart”.
