Wreckage of EgyptAir flight MS804 has been spotted in the Mediterranean a month after it crashed killing 66 people, investigators say.

An Egyptian committee said today several main locations of the wreckage had been found by a deep sea search vessel which had joined the hunt for the stricken plane.

A search team on board the vessel will now draw a map of the wreckage's distribution spots, the committee said.

The Airbus A320, which was travelling from Paris to Cairo, vanished off radar screens on May 19 soon after it entered Egyptian airspace.

Those on board included British father-of-two Richard Osman, 40, from Carmathen in Wales.

Officials said there had been no distress signal, leading to speculation it was targeted in an act of terror.

No group has claimed responsibility for bringing the plane down.
