22 April 2014

Police are investigating whether shots were fired during a city centre disturbance which left two teenagers in hospital.

One man was arrested following the disorder in the Lichfield Street area of Wolverhampton, which was briefly "locked down" by armed officers last night.

A small area of the city centre was cordoned off for forensic examination after the incident, in which a man and a woman aged in their teens were hurt.

Witnesses or anyone with information which could assist the police inquiry should call West Midlands Police on 101 or the Crimestoppers service on 0800 555 111.
