Autumn is a great time for jogging
5 April 2012

October is a great month for runners – it's not too hot and not too cold and the Autumn leaves make London's parks and commons a colourful place to train.

There are also plenty of challenging and interesting events in and around the capital including the New You Boot Camp 5k in Hyde Park and two runs for Cancer Research along the Brighton Seafront – just two of 18 Cancer Research 10k runs taking place in the South East this Autumn.

The Four2go 10k and 5k runs – as well as a 1k for under 12s - on Hackney Marshes can be enjoyed by the whole family and give runners a glimpse of how the 2012 Olympic site is developing. You don't have to pre-book the 5k which starts at 2.15pm.

Families and friends will again be invited to join in the support on 4th October 2008, both down the Valley and at Hackney Marsh, where there will be a real festival feel to the day, with live entertainment and a range of family and children's activities.
