Actor Bruno Kirby dies aged 57

Bruno Kirby, a veteran character actor known for playing the best friend in two of Billy Crystal's biggest comedies, When Harry Met Sally and City Slickers, has died aged 57.

Kirby died on Monday in Los Angeles from complications related to leukaemia, his wife Lynn Sellers said in a statement.

Kirby - born Bruno Giovanni Quidaciolu - also had parts in The Godfather: Part II, Summer Without Boys and Young Graduates.
