Hundreds of thousands of Beyonce fans eagerly attempted to get their hands on another batch of pre-sale tickets for the UK leg of her Renaissance world tour - with many left disappointed when they sold out within minutes.

On Wednesday, the pop superstar confirmed she would visit the UK for a series of live dates. The tour is her first in seven years.

Pre-sale tickets went on sale at 10am on Friday through Live Nation. Within minutes, fans were reporting as many as 400,000 people were in the queue.

And within 20 minutes, those in the queue were being warned of limited availability. Others were reportedly being told to try again during the general sale - which launches on Tuesday February 7.

One Twitter account, Beyoncé Tour HQ, wrote: “Over 400k people are currently in the Pre-sale queue for the London concert of the #RENAISSANCE World Tour.”

Other users, including one called leiabethrob, wrote: “Why I’m fighting to get these Beyoncé tickets and I’m 334169 place in the queue.”

Tickets for the two London dates - taking place at the 40,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium  on May 29 and 30 - start at £55 but VIP experiences cost up to £2,400.

Tottenham Hotspur Priority Members were also given access to a limited number of pre-sale tickets on Friday.

Beyonce, 41, will also perform at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on May 17, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield on May 20 and Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on May 23.

It comes after O2 was forced to apologise after fans faced “difficulties” while trying to buy pre-sale tickets for the tour on Thursday.

Another set of pre-sale tickets went on sale for O2 customers via the O2 Priority app - with some customers reporting issues during the purchasing process.

A spokesman said: “We apologise to any customers who are experiencing difficulties trying to get Beyonce tickets through our Priority platform today.

“We’re seeing huge demand and we’re doing everything we can to help ensure all our customers can get through.”

Beyonce confirmed the tour on her official Instagram account with a picture of the singer wearing a revealing cowboy-inspired outfit, apparently encrusted with diamonds, while on a silver statue of a horse.

Tiffany & Co will be the official jeweller of the tour, after Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z partnered with the New York luxury brand in 2021. As part of the campaign, she became the fourth woman, and first black woman, to wear the Tiffany Yellow Diamond, one of the largest yellow diamonds ever discovered.

Beyonce’s last tour was the mammoth Formation World Tour in 2016 which was announced following her guest appearance at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.

The singer was joined by 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy during the event at Atlantis The Royal last month.

She will go head to head with Adele at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, after they were both nominated in the album of the year category for Renaissance and 30 respectively.

They last competed for the prize in 2017 when it went to Adele.
