Burglars raid Jade Goody's £500,000 house

Reality TV star Jade Goody was devastated by a burglary at her £500,000 home in which valuables worth up to £30,000 were stolen.

The burglars smashed a window at the house which was packed with widescreen televisions and state-of-the-art electrical equipment.

The 26-year-old mother of two was greeted at her home in Chipping Ongar, Essex, by three police officers but a distraught Jade was too distraught to list exactly what had gone.

The Big Brother star is reported to have stormed out screaming: "I've been f****ing burgled!" as police examined the scene.

Jade had planned to rent the house furnished after moving to her new £1 million mansion in Upshire, Essex last month.

The burglary was discovered by letting agents yesterday morning.

The burglary tops a catalogue of misery for the former Big Brother star following the race row with Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty on this year's Celebrity Big Brother.

Jade split from her boyfriend of two years Jack Tweed, following months of speculation about the state of their relationship.

She and her toyboy partner had been under pressure after the pair lost a baby due to a miscarriage in June.

Yesterday, a spokesperson for Essex Police confirmed: "We received a report of a potential burglary at Miss Goody's address at 11:09 this morning.

"Officers were dispatched to the address and it is has now been confirmed as a burglary.

"Crime officers are now examining the scene."
