The gavel came down on Bargain Hunt's Tim Wonnacott after a passionate pasodoble failed to impress the judges and he was voted out of Strictly Come Dancing last night.

The 64-year-old antiques aficionado danced the pasodoble to Tina Turner's Simply The Best but ironically was sent home after judges voted unanimously to save former TOWIE star Mark Wright.

On leaving the show he thanked partner Natalie Lowe and said the whole experience had been a "treat".

He said: "It’s a great treat to be on a programme like Strictly for an antique bloke of 64 who is a bit portly and unfit."

Twenty seven year old Mark found himself in the bottom two despite the judges claiming his quick step with partner Lauren to Mud's Tiger Feet was his "best performance" so far.
