Arnold Schwarzenegger records moment he is charged by an elephant

Arnold Schwarzenegger has recorded the terrifying moment his vehicle was charged by an elephant.

Schwarzenegger, 68, can be heard shouting “Oh s***” as he comes face-to-face with the large animal while on safari.

The actor can be heard saying “He’s going to charge us” as he watches the elephant in its natural habitat before it turns and walks away.

But Schwarzenegger and his fellow passengers soon feared the worst after the elephant changed direction and began charging their vehicle.

The former Governor of California shouts ‘Oh s***’ as they try to speed away to safety.

He later joked that some of the passengers had to ‘change their pants’ after the close encounter.

The actor posted the video to Instagram and it quickly amassed more than 300,000 likes.

Writing alongside the clip he posted: “I couldn't have written this safari encounter better if it was a movie. I'm absolutely in awe of these beautiful, strong animals, even though some of us had to change our pants after this.

“We need to stop killing them - take a photo, not a shot. Would you rather be able to experience these creatures or a hunk of ivory? I thought so.”

The actor was in South Africa promoting Arnold Classic Africa 2016.
