Bruce Jenner has released a statement describing a multi-car pile up as a 'devastating tragedy'

Reality TV star and former Olympic medallist Bruce Jenner has issued a "heartfelt" statement following a three car collision which left one woman dead and seven injured in Malibu, California on Saturday.

In a statement released to US Weekly the 65-year-old said: "My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident.

"It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible."

The pile up occurred when Jenner's black Cadillac Escalade reportedly rear ended a Lexus. The Lexus was then forced into oncoming traffic and collided head on with a Hummer on the Pacific Coast Highway.
