Bryan Cranston may have just proved that he is one of the best celebrities in showbusiness.

The Breaking Bad actor, 60, left a signed copy of his new autobiography at Heathrow airport for one unsuspecting fan.

Cranston bought a copy of A Life in Parts at the WH Smith in Terminal 5 and left a message inside before placing it back on the book shelf along with the receipt.

Inside the signed book, Cranston wrote: “Thank you for checking out my book. I bought this copy for you. Seriously. It’s yours for FREE. Keep the receipt.

“Hope you enjoy the book and have a nice day.”

One fan spotted the actor signing the copy and shared the message on Facebook writing: “So I Saw a man writing in the front of a book in WHSmiths. A bit hunched over, leaning on a table display, he looked kind of familiar but under a baseball cap... and I thought, that's cool, someone has obviously recognised him and he's signing a book for them.

"But then I watched as he went over to the wall of books and I couldn't see what happened next there were more displays in the way.

"When he got back up and turned he caught my eye and smiled. So after he left I went over to see what was what and found this. Talk about cool.

"Right time and right place for a proper treat. Thank you Bryan Cranston for making my day".

Cranston previously opened up about his habit of signing copies and leaving them at airports during an appearance on This Morning.

Speaking to Ben Shephard and Holly Willoughby he said: "I've done it in every airport on this tour - I keep my hat on, I sneak in and buy one.

"I flew into London on Monday, so yes, there's one in London. I'm not going to tell you (which airport).

"In every airport I've been to so far, I have done one. It's fun - it's like leaving a little Easter Egg."
