It was a far cry from that sleek, layered and ironed Nineties Friends look: Jennifer Aniston was shooting her new film Squirrels to the Nuts in New York yesterday, sporting a ruffled bob and a fringe.

Aniston, 44, wore a sleek, smart, black, V-necked top teamed with black trousers for part of the shooting.

The hair couldn't have been more different, but she's hung on to her impish grin.

The film is a comedy about a Broadway director who falls in love with a prostitute-turned-actress and helps her launch her career.

It is directed by Peter Bogdanovich and is his first feature for 10 years. Aniston's co-stars are Owen Wilson, Cybill Shepherd and Eugene Levy.

Aniston has relocated to the East Coast and it's a good thing she is working in NYC as her fiancé, Justin Theroux, is also filming his latest movie, The Leftovers, in the city. In fact, he was spotted popping by to see her on set.
