Caitlyn Jenner has thrown her hat in the ring to host next year’s Golden Globes.

The reality star has responded to Ricky Gervais’ on-camera joke about her by offering to replace him at next year’s ceremony.

While many viewers took to Twitter to complain about the British comedian’s remarks about Jenner on Sunday night, she has now said:

“On Ricky, I think what I’m going to do is call the Golden Globes and see if they need a new host for next year.

“And we’ll solve that problem.”

During his opening monologue, Gervais referenced the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, who announced that she was undergoing gender reassignment earlier this year.

“I’ve changed. Not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously. Now Caitlyn Jenner, of course. What a year she’s had,” he told the A-list crowd at the ceremony.

After a number of people criticised the comedian on Twitter following the show, he hit back by saying:

“Suggesting a joke about Caitlin Jenner is automatically transphobic is like suggesting a joke about Bill Cosby is automatically racist.”
