Cate Blanchett stunned onlookers as she took to the red carpet in a multi-coloured ruffled full-length gown that appeared to be an optical illusion.

The actress, a jury member at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, turned heads in her Givenchy dress, part of which faded into the carpet as she posed for photos.

The 49-year-old was attending the BlacKkKlansman premiere along with other stars including Nicole Sherzinger, Naomi Campbell and Kristen Stewart on Monday night.
