Cara Delevingne has hit back at actor Richard Madden after he branded her ‘unprofessional’ following an awkward TV interview.

The model-turned-actress seemed to take offence to comments that the actor made on Tuesday, sending him angry messages on Twitter.

Just a few hours after Madden called Delevingne ‘ungrateful’ due to her stilted interview with Good Morning Sacramento back in July, she wrote:

“I have no idea who you are but I think it's little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don't know.”

She added: “if you really want attention that badly, try focusing on your own work and not other people's.”

While the 23-year-old's posts got hundreds of retweets and favourites, Madden decided to keep a dignified social media silence.

Delevingne’s messages come after Madden told Style Magazine: “It was unprofessional.

“It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For Cinderella I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions.”

The Game of Thrones actor, 29, added: “If you're not capable of doing that gracefully, then don't do it.”

During the interview, back in July, the star was chided by anchors on Good Morning Sacramento for not seeming 'excited' enough.

Although the model insisted that she was just ‘tired’ the hosts told her to ‘take a nap and have a Red Bull’ before cutting her off.
