Celebrity Big Brother evictee Jeremy McConnell has been warned that Stephanie Davis will cheat on him if the pair strike up a relationship after the show.

McConnell and Davis grew close in the famous house and declared their love for one another – despite Davis being in a relationship with model, Sam Reece.

Speaking on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, John McCririck told the Irish reality star: "What Stephanie has done to her boyfriend, when you get with her she'll do it to you! She deserted her boyfriend for you, she'll do it to you.

"She goes from man to man - no loyalty."

McConnell defended the former Hollyoaks actress, saying: "I have spent so much time with her. You guys only see an hour or 45 minutes.

"She's told me so many things. You know a guy has never taken her out and paid for dinner before? She's only 22-years-old - she's a baby still. I want to show her a different side to guys.

"I do feel sorry for [her boyfriend] Sam.

"I mean, even Stevie Wonder can see what we did was a bad thing to do. But I have so much respect for Steph and I feel she needs to be respected more as a woman."

McConnell’s comments came hours after he defended his feelings for Davis during an interview on This Morning.

"I meant everything I said to her,” he told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. "I’m not there as a ‘showmance’, I saw some stupid stuff that I’m trying to play a game, but I’m not like that at all. I always follow my heart. I never went in there with an agenda or to try and wreck people’s lives or anything.

"I just went with my heart and that’s what I felt. I stand by that…. obviously the circumstances, I would not like to be in that position. I’d like to think that I had a bit of integrity, but… obviously to Sam, I’m sorry the way it worked out.”

Celebrity Big Brother is on Channel 5 tonight at 9pm.
