Cher is the latest star to wade in on UK politics following the EU Referendum.

The US pop superstar became an unlikely political commentator on Thursday evening as she gave her opinion on Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage.

In a series of strongly-worded tweets, the Stronger singer slammed politicians for playing a ‘game of Brexit dominoes’.

She wrote: “NIGEL FARAGE & BORIS JOHNSON’S GAME OF“BREXIT DOMINOS” [sic] CAME CLOSE 2 WIPING OUT UK ECONOMY. THEY“HURT”THE VERY PPL THEY PROMISED BETTER LIVES2."

“If BORIS Johnson OR NIGEL Farage,ACTUALLY Had To RUN Something,…LIKE A COUNTRY….THEY’D THEMSELVES.”

The 70-year-old went on to say that she ‘believed’ in the British people as they ‘fought alone against the Nazis'.

She wrote: “The PPL Of U.K. R Strong,Beyond Belief. They Fought ALONE Against the Nazis,They were only thing that stood between Hitler and the US.My [money is] ON THEM.”

The music icon found herself in hot water earlier this week after tweeting a bomb emoji in the wake of the Istanbul terror attack.

Following the attack Cher tweeted: “We all pray for innocent people in Turkey airport (sic)."

She later posted: “People are sensitive and I didn't think. I offer my [heart] felt apology. Everyone who knows me, knows I’m tender to people who are hurting (sic).”

The US-based star admitted that she was ‘glued’ to the Referedum results last week.

She told her followers: “Glued 2 Brexit results with Friends. ‘Leaves’ Have Won. Friends say immigration played part in Vote. [Pray] It’s Best Decision 4 All UK PPL.”
