Claudia Winkleman will miss her third consecutive week of Strictly Come Dancing following her daughter’s accident on Halloween.

It Takes Two presenter Zoe Ball will co-host the BBC One dancing competition with Tess Daly this weekend as Claudia continues to care for eight-year-old Matilda.

Claudia, 42, was forced to pull out of her presenting duties when her daughter was accidentally set alight on Halloween after reportedly brushing against a candle.

Show bosses were hopeful for a return, but have now confirmed that the mum-of- three will be absent from the live shows in Blackpool this weekend.

A source told The Sun: “Getting the gig on Strictly was a dream for Claudia, so it's cruel that she has had to pull out when things were all going so well.

“But she is not going to leave Matilda's side until she is ready.”

The source added: “Matilda is taking great strides in her recovery, but a long way off being completely better and Claudia doesn't think it would be appropriate to be on stage being upbeat while her daughter is unwell.”
