David Beckham is rumoured to become the face of TikTok’s Christmas campaign as part of his work with charities UNICEF and 7 Fund.

The former England captain, 44, is tipped to be working with the app after his wife Victoria and son Romeo posted a video of themselves dancing to the Spice Girls on the video platform.

A source said the campaign will “showcase his fun side” and his four children – Romeo, Brooklyn, Cruise and Harper – are “excited” to see him take part in it.

They told the MailOnline: “David was really keen to partner up with TikTok. His kids love using the app and even Victoria got involved with a Spice Girls routine on Romeo's profile.

“The campaign is going to be fun and Christmassy and will hopefully see David give lip-syncing a go.

“He filmed his part in London last week and is really pleased to be involved on behalf of UNICEF, that is obviously close to his heart.”

It comes after Victoria claimed Romeo “used” her to get his numbers up on his TikTok app.

Speaking on Ellen DeGeneres’ show, the fashion designer said: “He came home the other day and he said ‘You know, mum I've just joined TikTok, will you do a dance with me?’

“And I was like ‘yeah, what shall we dance to?’ and he said the Spice Girls and then he took my phone and posted it on my Instagram and he said ‘that'll get my numbers up!’”

TikTok is a video app that allows people to create lip sync, comedy and talent videos.

It was first released back in September 2016.

Other celebrity fans of the app include Lewis Capaldi, Will Smith and Ariana Grande.
