Diana Ross was involved in a car accident while en route to a performance in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Ross, 72, was injured when the driver of an SUV failed to stop at a red light and crashed into the limousine she was travelling in, Bethlehem police said.

The former Supremes singer complained of head and neck pain after the crash, according to ABC, but later took to Twitter to reassure fans that she was “fine” and told them not to worry.

She tweeted: “I was involved in a car accident yesterday, but I'm fine. I ask you not to worry. I will see you tonight at the show in Providence :).”

No one was hurt but the The Lincoln Town Car Ross had been travelling in was towed.

Police said the New Jersey woman behind the wheel of the SUV received a traffic citation.

Ross - who is currently performing a string of dates across North America - performed as scheduled at the Sands casino complex in Bethlehem later that evening.
