DJ Christian O’Connell rewinds to host Q Awards for second year

Christian O’Connell was today announced as the host of the Q Awards for the second year in a row.

They will take place in London on October 19, with seven of the categories voted on by the public, including best new act, best track, best video and best album.

Absolute Radio DJ O’Connell, who is currently performing a stand-up show at the Edinburgh Festival, said he was “looking forward to coming back to the Q Awards stage again”.

Kasabian dominated last year, and other winners included Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Paolo Nutini, Jamie xx and Elbow.

Public voting opened today at Qthemusic.com and nominations will be announced on September 16.
