Graham Norton got more than a pint when he visited the Queen Vic ahead of the 30th anniversary of EastEnders.

The chat show host was slapped by (Mick Carter) Danny Dyer and Pat Butcher (Pam St Clement), before receiving a punch from surprise guest Jane Slaughter who plays Tracey the barmaid.

Norton was behind the bar to learn how to master a fake EastEnders slap but looked genuinely scared when Dyer took his turn.

Picking up a lamp the 37-year-old actor joked, “I won’t use the lamp. What I’ll do is I’ll back hand you,” while Norton pleaded: “Don’t hit me, don’t hit me.”

Shane Ritchie who plays Alfie Moon in the BBC soap quizzed Norton on whether he had "slept with Kat" before giving the chat show host a hug, saying: "Alfie don't slap anyone."

Adam Woodyatt, Letitia Dean, Kellie Bright and Dyer will join Norton for a special show to celebrate 30 years of the popular soap on Monday February 16.

They will be quizzed on whether they know who killed Lucy Beale.
