Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan delighted fans after they reunited live on stage 30 years after teaming up on hit song Especially For You.

The former Neighbours sweethearts performed the track at BBC Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park on Sunday night.

Minogue welcomed Donovan on stage midway through the song after telling the crowd: “I need a dance partner.”

Donovan emerged to huge cheers as he span Minogue around before lifting her up into the air.

The pair shared a microphone as they belted out the famous hit to screaming fans.

She later joked that he “didn’t know that was going to happen”.

The moment was branded “AMAZING” by fans who said it left them “reliving my childhood for a few minutes”.

One fan tweeted: “So glad they joined each other again for this classic.. all the feels right there...”

“I still feel the love from that when I speak to people every day so I don’t think it would be possible to recreate that magic, but it’s always great fun to sing it at gigs because everyone – including all the men, sing-along to it.

“You never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory, and this is a great memory but would be hard to recreate so it’s best not to even try.”
