Goldie Hawn says her movie comeback after a 14-year break has been so much fun that now she wants to co-star with partner Kurt Russell.

The actress, 70, put her career on hold in 2002 to focus on charity work but was persuaded to return by comic Amy Schumer.

Hawn stars in Mother/Daughter, a “comedy adventure” film co-written by and co-starring Schumer, 35, as her child. It is due for release next year.

The Oscar winner, below, whose last film was 2002 comedy The Banger Sisters, revealed: “She just said, ‘I’d love you to do this’, and I read it and I loved the movie, and I love her and we had a great time.

“Coming back to acting again was such a blast. I’m doing a lot of other things now. So who knows, we could be getting back into the comedy world. It was fun making people laugh. So I’m excited about that.”

Hawn wants to make another film with Russell, 65, who she got together with on Swing Shift in 1983.

She told CNBC: “[What] we’re going to do I don’t know when, but we want to do it together. So we’ll figure that out.”

Her daughter, actress Kate Hudson, has spoken out against unequal pay between the sexes in Hollywood, but Hawn says: “I choose what frustrates me … And as long as you’re getting paid and you got food on your table and you have a loving family and you have so much to be grateful for, those little things don’t get me down.”
