‘I had to defend myself’: Lea Seydoux claims she had to fight off Harvey Weinstein in hotel room

Actress Lea Seydoux has claimed that she had to “defend” herself against Harvey Weinstein when he “jumped” on her in a hotel room.

The James Bond star said that she to fight off the disgraced Hollywood mogul after he invited her to his room for a drink in 2012 following a work event.

“We met in the lobby of his hotel. His assistant, a young woman, was there. All throughout the evening, he flirted and stared at me as if I was a piece of meat,” Seydoux wrote in the Guardian.

“He acted as if he were considering me for a role. But I knew that was bullshit. I knew it, because I could see it in his eyes. He had a lecherous look. He was using his power to get sex.”

The actress then claimed that she went to Weinstein’s hotel room where he started “losing control” while they were sitting together on the sofa.

“We were talking on the sofa when he suddenly jumped on me and tried to kiss me. I had to defend myself,” she wrote.

“He’s big and fat, so I had to be forceful to resist him. I left his room, thoroughly disgusted. I wasn’t afraid of him, though. Because I knew what kind of man he was all along.”

Seydoux is the latest in a long line of Hollywood actresses to accuse the producer of sexual harassment, including Rose McGowan, Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Cara Delevingne.

Weinstein is set to check into a rehab facility in Arizona to receive treatment for ‘sex addiction’, after being sacked from his own company this week.

Speaking to TMZ reporters as he left Los Angeles, Weinstein said: “I'm hanging in I'm trying my best. I'm not doing Ok but I'm trying.

“I gotta get help guys. You know what, we all make mistakes… Second chance I hope.

Weinstein's spokeswoman Sallie Hofmeister said: "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Weinstein."
