Jamie Oliver poses with newborn son in vegetable patch days after wife Jools gives birth

Jamie Oliver has shared a cute photo of himself with his newborn son.

The celebrity chef, whose wife Jools gave birth to their fifth child over the weekend, posted a picture of the new arrival exploring the family garden on Thursday.

Oliver captioned the snap: “As you do ... big love guys, happy Thursday jamie o xx X xx.”

The 41-year-old announced the arrival of his new son on Twitter on Monday morning, revealing that he weighed 8lbs.

He wrote on Instagram and Facebook: “And then this just happened guys !! IT'S A BABY BOY !! Everyone in the Oliver family is very surprised and beyond happy.

“He arrived safely, mum / @joolsoliver was really really amazing, unbelievably composed, natural birth and my two eldest Girls got to come in at the very end as the baby was born which was amazing to witness very very emotional.”

Oliver added: “8 lbs ( that's 16 packs of butter for you bakers out there) anyway were all hitting the hay it's been a long day big love... bless a little baby boy Woop Woop !!!!

“And love to all you mums out there how amazing you are it blows my mind .... Big love jamie o p.s no baby names yet .”

The couple are yet to name their newborn son, with many fans offering up suggestions on Twitter.

“Jamie Oliver just had another baby. I'm off to ladbrokes to place a bet on his name being 'Onion Weed'. #jamieoliver #babynames,” wrote one person.

Another posted: “What's your Jamie Oliver baby name? (Name of first pet, gran's favourite flower plus noise you make sneezing.)Mine's Florence Peony Ashoo.”

The couple are already parents to Poppy, 14, Daisy, 13, Petal, seven and Buddy, five.
