Jennifer Lawrence joined her mother! co-stars in celebrating the film’s London premiere on the red carpet.

The actress wore a semi-sheer silver gown with draped crystal chain detailing and matching metallic shoes.

Lawrence was joined at the event by director and writer Darren Aronofsky (who the actress is currently dating), as well as Irish actor Domnhall Gleeson who plays ‘Oldest Son’ in the film.

mother! is a psychological horror film which sees the life of Lawrence’s character turned upside down when a mysterious couple comes to live in the house she shares with her mother.

Salma Hayek was also in attendance at the premiere wearing a black suit with a floral shirt with her husband François-Henri Pinault who sported a navy suit.

Director Aronofsky could be seen sharing a laugh with Gleeson as they posed for cameras before signing autographs.

Lawrence and Aronofsky met on the set of the new film but didn’t begin dating until after they were no longer working together.

The actress said the told US Vogue that she and Aronofsky have ‘energy’.

"We had energy. I had energy for him. I don't know how he felt about me," she explained.

Meanwhile, the director has praised Lawrence’s acting skills in the film, telling Vulture: "She really went there. The producers were freaking out. We had to sort of calm it down and then go for it again.

“And the thing is, there’s so much ability there that somehow she can summon it again and again."
