Kim Kardashian has come running to husband Kanye West’s defence over claims he sent a bodyguard to double check that a disabled fan really was wheelchair bound at his Sydney concert on Friday.

The reality TV star, who got married to the rapper earlier this year took to her Instagram account to state how the media have victimised the singer and attempted to ruin what she believes was an “awesome” night.

Alongside a video of Kanye performing onstage she wrote: “It’s frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media.”

She continued: “Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings.”

The Yeezus rapper also attempted to defend himself during his Brisbane gig, but ended up making a dig at celebs from Ben Affleck to Whoopi Goldberg while flaunting his questionable new arrow haircut.

He rambled: “I want to take this platform. If I didn’t have this last concert, maybe I would’ve tweeted something or put out a statement with a publicist, but I can talk directly to you - my fans.

“I’m not going to make one of them BenAffleck statements and s***.

“This is real expression. This is real artistry. You know, an artist’s career doesn’t happen in one cycle of news — an artist’s career happens in a lifetime. And if you’re a true artist, you're willing to die for what you believe in,” he continued.

“At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible. So all this demonizing me, it aint’ goin’ to work after a while. Pick a new target. Pick a new target.

“Because I’m not one of these dumba** artists that you’re used to. You come at me, I’m going to take my platform and break this s*** down for real, intelligent people every night. And then, we’ll get back to the music.”

Come again Kanye?
