Kylie Minogue is on course to land her first number one album in eight years with Golden.

The Australian superstar last topped the charts with Aphrodite back in 2010, but is currently enjoying success with her recent release.

According to the Official Charts Company, Minogue is outperforming her nearest rival by nearly three to one.

Thirty Seconds To Mars are currently running for number two while The Greatest Showman is set to fall to three after storming success at the top.

In the singles chart, The Voice UK champion Ruti Olajugbagbe is expected to land number one at the weekend with her winner's single Dreams, the rendition of The Cranberries' classic.

It is currently outperforming the new release by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa, whose new collaboration One Kiss starts at number two.

Minogue recently revealed working on the album helped her with her split from fiancé Joshua Sasse, last February.

Speaking to Red Magazine about their relationship she said: “I never thought I would get married. Just going through ‘being engaged’ seems like an experiment, because I’d never as a girl or in all my life had a vision of getting married.

“It’s not something I needed or wanted. My parents never brought me up with the idea of ‘the big marriage’. I never had it as a goal.”

She continued: “I thought, ‘Maybe I've got it all wrong and I should go for it. Maybe I should do what most of the world do. It works for them.’

“Now I’m going to stick to my previous view. I don’t think marriage is for me.”
