Liam Gallagher appeared to reference estranged brother Noel during an impromptu performance in an Irish pub.

The former Oasis star was caught on camera as he sang a new track for locals at JJ Finan's pub in Charleston, West Ireland on Saturday night.

Surprising pub-goers, Gallagher whipped out his guitar during a drinking session and proceeded to perform a number of brand new songs for lucky onlookers.

The never before heard lyrics seemed to include a mention of his brother, with whom he's been having a public spat over the last few months.

Referencing Noel's most recent solo album, Chasing Yesterday, Gallagher sang: "When I wake up and I hear you say/ There's no love worth chasing yesterday."

He continues: "Yes I know, I've been wrong/ Didn't do what I was told/ Yes I know I've been wrong/ Didn't do what I was told/ I ain't looking for no 9-5/ Sick of wasting all my precious time/ Cos it's alright /Cos it's alright now."

Noel recently slammed his brother while performing on stage at Cork's Marquee venue after getting into a dispute with a heckler.

When an audience member shouted 'where is Liam' during his performance, Gallagher responded:

"Liam’s at home looking at himself in the mirror. Fortunately, he’s still not a big a c*** as you are."

He added: "Imagine that. Being the bigger c***."
