Lisa Armstrong has appeared to hit back at reports she was issued a “legal warning” about “attacking Ant McPartlin’s new girlfriend on social media”.

The make-up artist had her divorce from the TV star, who has since moved on with former PA Anne-Marie Corbett, finalised last week.

When news of McPartlin’s new relationship broke, Armstrong told fans that Corbett had been “her friend and their PA who she let into their home” before resorting to liking tweets referring to Corbett critically and negatively.

But Armstrong has hinted that she won’t be silenced as she continued her love affair with the heart button on the social media site, liking tweets about “freedom of speech” after receiving a "legal warning", according to The Sun.

One read: “Don’t sign the NDA!! They will assassinate your character daily and you will have no voice to defend yourself. I hate how they are treating you.”

While another said: “what have I just read? You can’t have a voice or an opinion now! It’s called freedom of speech and on social media this is allowed. If they don’t like the topic then they shouldn’t have created the topic! You made yourselves look bad not anyone else. U have been fab.”

“Surely @lisaAmakeup can like/comment on whatever she likes on Twitter? She hasn’t been defamatory or horrible, she is just acknowledging the support people are giving her?” read a different post.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Armstrong for comment.

Armstrong also shared an article about the recent reports, thanking her followers for all the support.

Armstrong, who is currently working on Strictly Come Dancing, cited adultery as the reason for their divorce.
