Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson breaks silence on Jake Roche ‘split’

Jesy Nelson has broken her silence to deny reports that she has split from her fiancé Jake Roche.

The Little Mix singer, 25, insisted she is “very much in love” with the Rixton frontman weeks after she was spotted on a night out without her engagement ring.

Quashing the rumours in an interview with The Idolator she said: “It's funny, because when my fiancé proposed to me, he'd never done it like, 'We're getting married tomorrow.' He felt like when he called me his girlfriend, it wasn't enough.

“He felt like it really undermined our relationship, and he loved the fact that - I don't know, he loved the fact that he can say I'm his fiancé instead of just girlfriend, and I love that. I think it's really sweet.”

Nelson said the celebrity pair are in no rush to tie the knot as they are planning to travel the world and focus on their careers before settling down.

“We're in no rush,” she said. “We want to travel the world together. There's so much we want to do together, and at the moment, we're focused on our own careers that there just isn't time. We're literally in no rush.

“I think when we know, we'll know, and we'll do it, and [it will] probably be really intimate, hardly any people there. We're very much in love, and we'll do it when we feel the time is right.”

Split rumours surfaced when Nelson was pictured without her ring on a night out with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

It was also reported that Nelson unfollowed Roche on Instagram after the celebrity pair were embroiled in a huge row.

A source told The Sun: "Jesy and Jake had a huge barney – it wasn't pretty.

"They're not a couple who avoid rows easily but this was different and could signal the end of their relationship.

"Neither is giving much away as to what caused the fallout but clearly harsh words were said."
