Loose Women is under investigation from broadcasting watchdog Ofcom after Katie Price’s son swore on live TV.

Harvey, 13, said “c***” on the lunchtime show after he joined his mother to discuss the online abuse he has suffered from internet trolls.

Ofcom confirmed it had received 10 complaints following the episode on May 17.

A spokesman said: "Ofcom is investigating this programme which included the most offensive language before the watershed."

Price asked her son – who was born blind and suffers from autism, ADHD and Prader-Willi syndrome: “If someone says something horrible to Harvey, what does Harvey say?”

To which he replied: “Hello you c****.”

Panellist Andrea McLean told viewers: “OK, we apologise, we apologise for that, but this is one of the reasons why we wanted to do this live.”

Price defended her decision to take Harvey on the live show as opposed to a pre-recorded segment because she wanted to show the public how he is “unedited”.

The former glamour model said she was in disbelief after her son swore as she had warned him to watch his language ahead of the show.

Speaking on Up Late With Rylan she said: “Before we went on air I said, ‘Harvey no swearing’, and he said, ‘Yes mummy’. I just can’t believe it.”

Ofcom further added that in relation to Harvey’s welfare, they had received sufficient assurances from ITV that the broadcaster had ensured due care of him, and as such they would not be pursuing any potential issues in this regard any further.
