Jamie and Louise Redknapp are set to divorce, according to reports.

Despite battling to save their 18 year marriage, the couple have opted to make their split official, the Sun on Sunday reported.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 43, and her football pundit husband, 44, separated earlier this year after hitting “hard times” following Louise’s stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

According to the Sun, Louise has now filed for divorce.

A source told the newspaper: “They have come to a mutual agreement that divorce is the only option.

“Louise has filed the paperwork and there’s no going back.”

Louise, who is currently starring as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, ended their relationship earlier this year having “rediscovered” her confidence on Strictly Come Dancing, which she credited with pulling her out of her “comfort zone” as a “Stepford Wife”.

She said she felt “physically sick” at the thought of never feeling the buzz she got from taking part in the BBC ballroom show and knew that she wanted to “go back on stage in front of an audience.”

She confirmed last month that she was living apart from Jamie, but added that they were still in regular contact.

The news comes despite the former-Eternal singer claiming last week that she wanted to “re-couple” with Jamie.

The couple have sons, Charley, 12, and Beau, nine, together

The Standard has contacted representatives for both Jamie and Louise for comment.
