Emma Watson has dispelled rumours that she is dating Prince Harry.

The Harry Potter star dismissed the claims made in Australian magazine, Woman’s Day, which suggested that Prince Harry was “smitten” with Watson.

After Twitter was abuzz with the rumour, Watson, 24, took to her own account to set the record straight.

“WORLD Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!,” she tweeted.

The Noah actress later posted: “also..... marrying a Prince not a prerequisite for being a Princess.” Watson included a link to a scene from Alfonso Cuarón's 1995 film A Little Princess, which contains the lines: “I am a princess. All girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics. Even if they dress in rags. Even if they aren’t pretty or smart or young, they’re still Princesses all of us.”

The magazine claimed that Harry had sent the actress an email to invite her out when she split from her boyfriend Matthew Janney in December 2014.

Instead of going out together they reportedly went out in a group of 12.

An insider told the magazine: “Harry didn’t want her to feel like she was put on the spot. A party also shows he’s fun and not stuffy.

“He’s smitten – and it’s more than Emma’s looks.”
