Meek Mill has announced his separation from Milan “Milano” Harris, just one week after Kanye West alleged the rapper had an "out of line" meeting with his wife Kim Kardashian.

Meek, who welcomed a child with Milano in May, revealed their separation on social media today, announcing they would co-parent separately.

“We me and Milano decided to remain friends and build our child as separate parents,” he wrote.

“We still have mad love for eachother [sic] but we both came to a understanding! -meek-

In a follow-up tweet, the rapper wrote: “I made a lot of paper last year everything got different with a lot people I helped so I gotta revaluate myself!

“It will happen to anybody with success & power grow, stay strong and move forward!”

Milan “Milano” Harris is the designer of street wear label, Milano di Rouge and the pair have dated since early 2019.

Meek’s split comes after Kanye West called him out during a Twitter tirade last week, in which he said he wanted to divorce Kim Kardashian after she met with Meek Mill to discuss prison reform.

“I’ve been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Waldorf for 'prison reform',” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

"Meek is my man and was respectful. That’s my dog Kim was out of line,” he concluded.

West has since apologised publicly to Kardashian for his comments, writing: "I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter.

"I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me."

A photo resurfaced last week of the meeting in question, showing Kardashian and Meek meeting with philanthropist Clara Wu at a rooftop restaurant.

After West's tweets, Meek wrote on Twitter: "Being around the wrong environment and wrong people will make you forget your worth! Stay focused."

Meanwhile, Kardashian published a statement on Instagram explaining that West suffers from bipolar disorder, and that she and her family are "powerless" to intervene.

She wrote: “He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder.”
