Meghan Markle has revealed that she’s something of a domestic goddess and loves nothing more than cooking a roast chicken for friends.

The US actress and Prince Harry’s girlfriend, 35, has admitted to being a keen cook and has a penchant for the British classic.

In a new interview with Good Housekeeping, the Suits stars said that the simple dish has been a ‘game-changer’ in her life.

“There is nothing as delicious (or as impressive) as a perfectly roasted chicken. It’s a game changer. I bring that to dinner parties and make a lot of friends,” she said.

Giving an insight into her off-screen style, Markle admitted to being a fan of ‘vegan leather’ trousers and a strong blazer.

“My wardrobe for my part in Suits isn’t like Working Girl – dressing for work doesn’t have to be so on-the-nose these days. The key is to have your own point of view attached to it,” she said.

“Personally, I love cropped pants in vegan leather, a great fitted blazer and a button-down [shirt].”

Markle, who has been thrust into the public eye since her relationship with Prince Harry went public last year, also revealed that she used to have a rather niche side-job.

“I used to be a calligrapher for weddings and events – that was my side job while I was auditioning,” she said.

“I think handwritten notes are a lost art form. When I booked my first [TV] pilot, my dad wrote me a letter that I still have. The idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special.”

The actress has been spotted spending time with the Prince in Kensington on a number of occasions since last summer, while the royal has visited her on set in Canada.
