'Nervous, excited, emotional': Eva Longoria prepares for the arrival of her first child

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has admitted that she is feeling “nervous” about her fast-approaching due date.

The A-List actress, who is pregnant with her first child, told People magazine of her growing nerves and excitement as she enters the third trimester of her pregnancy.

“Excited but nervous,” is how she described her current state of mind. “Nervous, excited, emotional.”

In an interview with Ellen Degeneres last week, the Hollywood actress confirmed that her son is due in June but that she has not settled on a name yet.

The 43-year-old star is expecting a son with her third husband, Jose Antonio Baston, 50, who she married in a private ceremony in Mexico in 2016 while wearing a dress designed by best friend, Victoria Beckham.

Despite a very public divorce from baseball player husband Tony Parker in 2011, amidst allegations of his infidelity, Longoria found love again with Baston, who is the president of Mexico’s largest media company.

Longoria also celebrated a career-defining moment on Monday when she was honoured with a star on Hollywood’s illustrious Walk of Fame for her television work and ongoing humanitarian efforts.

Fellow Desperate Housewives star, Felicity Huffman, exacerbated Longoria’s emotional state with a heart-warming speech, calling her “kind”, “hopeful”, and “with her feet firmly planted in courage, faith, and compassion.”

Best friend Victoria Beckham and her husband David were also in attendance, showing their support for their daughter’s godmother by posting highlights from the day on social media.

The British fashion designer posted an emotional tribute to Longoria’s success, saying “we are so proud of @evalongoria receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame x kisses from us all xxx”, as the pair posed together at the after party.
