Nick Cannon has been hospitalised with "mild kidney failure".

The America's Got Talent presenter was taken to a hospital in Aspen, Colorado, with abdominal pains and is now being treated by medical staff for the condition.

Writing on her official website, Mariah Carey revealed: "We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C. (sic)"

"We're doing OK but we're stranded in Aspen. I know, we could be in a lot worse places, but the truth is as long as we're together, we're OK."

The 41-year-old singer's post was accompanied by a photograph of her nursing Nick, 31, and giving him a drink as he lay in his hospital bed.

Mariah - who has eight-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her husband - has asked her fans to pray for Nick to make a speedy recovery.

She added: "I'm not trying to make light out of the situation because it's a serious moment that's very tough on all of us. So please keep us and our family in your prayers."
