Draped in little more than decorative stones, Kate Moss displays the effortlessly seductive pout that has made her one of the world’s most enduring models.

The picture, by Craig McDean, is from the supermodel’s first cover shoot for a men’s monthly magazine in 17 years. She graced the front of the now-closed Arena magazine in November 1996, but now appears on the latest edition of Esquire. The last time she was the cover of Esquire magazine was as a 19-year-old in 1993.

Styled by Katy England, Moss, 39, complements the mosaic-like arrangement on her body with a circus ringmaster jacket.

Esquire editor Alex Bilmes said: “Kate Moss is my generation’s embodiment of homegrown sex, glamour, hedonism and insouciant cool. She’s also a uniquely British figure, and for too long has been monopolised by women’s fashion magazines. So I am thrilled we’ve persuaded her to front our special issue dedicated to this country’s most stylish people and products.

“I really can’t imagine anyone better suited to the job.”

The full Kate Moss shoot appears in Esquire’s September Made in Britain issue, on sale Wednesday.
