One Direction called an ambulance for a fan, only to find out they had been pranked by Ant and Dec.

The Kiss You boy band “panicked” and called the emergency services after a man they believed to be their biggest fan hyperventilated and suffered an asthma attack.

The Saturday Night Takeaway hosts were then forced to come clean and reveal their true identities.

“The ruse was that 1D’s biggest fan had flown in to meet them,” Ant explained.

“Dec dressed up as one called Jack from New Zealand and I was Ben, a TV host from there.

“I introduced him to the group – and the meeting didn’t go as planned. But they fell for it.”

“I faked an asthma attack. They panicked and I hyperventilated,” Dec added.

“They called medical emergencies. It was such fun and they fell for it.”

The set-up also saw Ant “accidentally” leave his microphone on, leaving the group embarrassed as he talked about who was the sexiest member.

The prank will be broadcast on Saturday Night Takeaway this Saturday.
