It's been a year of firsts for Rita Ora. First she made her debut as a judge on The Voice and now she's set to perform at the 2015 Academy Awards.

The 24-year-old singer announced the news via Twitter where she posted: "I'm excited to announce @TheAcademy invited me to perform on the #Oscars on Feb 22nd!"

Ora then tweeted an Instagram of the announcement alongside the caption: "Woohooooo see you all there!!"

Ora will perform Grateful from the film Beyond the Light, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.

Oscars producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said of Ora: "International recording artist, Rita Ora, will make her Oscar stage debut this year. The mixture of her incredible voice and glamour makes a perfect combination for our show."

The news follows the announcement earlier this week that Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine will be performing Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois’ Academy Award nominated song Lost stars from the film Begin Again.

The 87th Academy Awards will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris on Sunday February 22 at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood.
